Cyprus – Sunshine, Waterparks & Kinder Egg Ice Cream

18th September 2016

It’s that time of year again when summer is, I guess it’s safe to say, truly over. I mean, it’s not all bad! Especially because now, with the Pumpkin Spice latte being back, so is the feeling of Autumn. And as of recent, I’ve just felt SO FREAKING COSY. I’ve been burning Christmas candles, using the warmest smelling shower and bath bits, and of course, this might be a tad too early, been watching so much vlogmas.

Buuuuuuuut, before the feeling of Autumn starts to truly take over and all I want to do is run through leaves kicking them up, I wanted to post my summer holiday post. More so I can read through it at a later date and totally reminisce, but also because while in Cyprus on my summer holiday, I had a totally, TOTALLY amazing time and of course I wanted to share it with you.

We arrived at Gatwick Airport and met Franklyn, Michael, Keira and Sam, our little holiday team, checked in, grabbed a coffee, and finally boarded the plane. The flight was full of reading, music and watching films on the little TV in the back of the chair in front of me. It flew past, and soon enough WE LANDED IN CYPRUS! And even though it was the evening when we landed, we could already feel the heat, but most of all, beyond the excitment, I was extremely tired. So once at the hotel, settled and fed, bed it was for me. And however keen I was to start the holiday, I slept like a log.

After a few days just chilling out at the pool, exploring the harbour and the mall, me, Franklyn, Michael and Dan signed up for a little trip called Love Cyprus. We left early in the morning and travelled all day around Cyprus, seeing Aphrodite’s Rock, an Odeon (which is an old theatre, also named an Odeon! Nice little fact for you there) and then ending in a couple of small, traditional Greek villages where we ate and did some shopping. It was truly wonderful and it also went so so quickly.

So after a day travelling around Cyprus and seeing the amazing sights, we headed back to the hotel and caught up on some holiday relaxation and flicked through our many pictures. At this point, once again, I was beyond tired, so typically after dinner, I went back to the room and fell asleep after a sit on the balcony, just watching the world go by. ARGH I LOVE HOLIDAYS.

And I guess that’s it for this post! I had honestly the most wonderful time whilst in Cyprus and it was also one of a kind for me. Never have I been away on a group holiday like this and I think it was that that made this holiday as lovely it was. It was so special to share such a nice time with these five wonderful people and to have the memories of the many ice creams, the pizzas and the seafood platters and of course Fasouri waterpark which was a bag of nerves in many different ways.

If you were looking to go away somewhere perfect for the chilled out sorta holiday, or if you were on the hunt for something more to keep you busy, Cyprus is perfect. One day you could spend at the pool, the next you could be eating lunch with some locals. I honestly had the most amazing time. It just went so quick! And the blues right now are very, very real.

Well I hope you’ve enjoyed this post! I guess it has actually helped with my holiday blues, it’s definitely nice to go through the pictures again, and I will without a doubt come back whenever I miss Cyprus just to reminisce that little bit more. If anyone else is suffering from the blues, please reassure me so I know I’m not the only one?! And holiday destination wise, I would love to know where/when you’re going… It’s never too late to get some inspiration.

Have the best day my loves! And I shall see you soon.
