All About Enzymion

25th March 2017

First of all, I need to apologise. It’s been a while since I uploaded a post and I was meant to upload this yesterday, but because of the amount of time I spent walking around and in the car, I wasn’t able to upload then either. Sooooooo, today is the day. Today is the day you get to read all about my favourite moisturiser of all time, Enzymion. You may or may not have read my last post all about ‘Those Nights Under The Fairy Lights’ – which you can find here – where I basically ran you through all the bits and bobs I use whilst I turn on some fairy lights and pop myself in the bath. I also mentioned a few bits I use once I’m out of the bath, too; one of those things being my trusted moisturiser which I’ve used now for a while. In fact, I’m so obsessed with this particular moisturiser from Lush that I thought I’d do a blog post all about it. I just love it that much.

Enzymion is a moisturiser made by Lush and it’s packed full of all things wonderful for your skin. When I first used Enzymion, I was blown away by how freshening it actually felt. I would say all the moisturisers I’d used before were the opposite; heavy, dense and even though good for the skin, way too much for me. Enzymion, however, is the complete opposite. Lush states on their website that in every pot there is one whole lemon which stops your skin looking oily – you can actually smell the lemon, too. Also, it contains fresh papaya, light oils and cocoa butter, which are incredibly good for your skin. Summed up, this moisturiser is utterly perfect for anyone with oily skin and are looking for a moisturiser that isn’t too heavy. If you want to read more into Enzymion and its ingredients, just scroll on down to the bottom of this page for the link.

Like I said in my ‘Under The Fairy Lights’ post, I use Enzymion always, without fail, after a shower or a bath. Or, actually, I use a bit when my skin just feels a bit tight and needs a bit of a freshen up. The great thing about this product is that it goes a long, long way. The first time I bought it, I was convinced one pot was not going to last me long at all, but just one finger dip (weird terminology, I know, but it makes sense) is enough to cover every part of my face. One pot can literally last me months; but even then, when the pot is empty, make sure you keep it! if you gather up five tubs from Lush with the symbol on, you can take them back to a store and exchange the pots for a free face mask. Great, I know! Totally recommend. So to round this part off, even though I was sceptical about buying a £15 moisturiser which I wasn’t too sure would last me very long, I know now that Enzymion is totally worth it. For those moments where you’re skin feels dry and delicate or if it just needs a little perking up, Enzymion is your best-friend.

Throughout my years I’ve tried a lot of moisturisers. I’ve tried drugstore brands and the more expensive brands. I’ve always been under the impression that a moisturiser is just that, and surely it should do just one thing…. moisturise. But that’s not entirely true. True there are many moisturisers out there that do exactly as they should, but that doesn’t exactly mean that they will work perfectly for you. When I bought Enzymion, I was looking through the many moisturises in Lush, picking up one and then the other, price ranging from £15 to £50, completely unsure as to which one to get. The thing about Lush products – especially when it comes to masks or moisturises – is they all work differently in amazing ways. It really depends on what your skin is like or what feeling you go for when you use a product from Lush. Anyway, as I was looking through the rack of all the little black pots, one of the lovely employees came over to ask me if I needed any help. I said yes, obviously. I asked which moisturiser would be good for someone with dry skin, but at times oily. She didn’t even have to think. She picked up Enzymion and offered me a sample to take home and try, all for free. That night, having used the product, I swore to go back at the soonest time to buy a tub. And now, I’m not sure I could live my life without it. Enzymion is everything I could wish for when needing a little skin freshen up. And now it’s just another product on my list of favourite Lush products. So if you haven’t yet gathered, I freaking love Enzymion. It’s my moisturiser lifeline and I’m just forever hoping it doesn’t get discontinued because, honestly, I don’t know what I’ll do with myself. I guess I’ll just have to start my search for a new moisturiser all over again! Haha. If you have a certain favourite product that you turn to for your moisturiser needs (I wonder how many times I’ve said moisturiser in this post) let me know down below so I can give it a shot myself! Thank you so much for reading this post, I appreciate it more than you know. Have the most wonderful day, my loves and I shall see you soon.
